The Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence Counties Central Trades and Labor Council recently endorsed five candidates running for St. Lawrence County offices.
The group endorses Marsha LeMay for Ogdensburg city justice, Sam Charleston for Potsdam town justice, Melanie Cunningham for Massena town councilor and James Sienkiewycz and Joseph White for St. Lawrence County coroner.
“Not only are these candidates accomplished in their respective professional roles, but they are active in their communities as well. The Labor Movement has always encouraged our members to be community-minded and civic-oriented and, as candidates, Jamie, Joe, Marsha, Sam and Melanie embody that principle. The Labor Council is proud to extend our support to each of our candidates and we ask that voters cast their ballots for them on November 6,” Labor Council president Ronald P. McDougall said in a prepared statement.
Polling places open at 6 a.m., countywide, on Tuesday, Nov. 6 and will remain open until 9 p.m.
If voters have questions about where to vote, they should contact the St. Lawrence County Board of Elections at 315-379-2202.
