POTSDAM -- Students in Clarkson's Department of Communication, Media, and Design will work with local agencies to build websites and give e-commerce assistance for North Country businesses affected by the COVID-19 crisis.
Businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic with an immediate need for web development support can get a consultation and limited web development services for free or at a reduced cost.
There are free webinars that business owners can stream online, and they can apply for additional support whether their business needs a full website or some other kind of support.
These one-hour free webinars presented by Breaking Even Communications will help owners navigate point of sale (POS) systems, online-only processors, money transfer apps, digital wallets, subscription services, and other topics.
Another webinar gives owners an intro into e-commerce by discussing the difference between carts and payment forms, and how to know if a third party system such as Ebay or Etsy versus having something on their own website is the right choice.
