MASSENA -- Britni Chapman and Tina Wiley have opened a new salon, B Hair Studio, downtown at 25 Center St.

Wiley was a long-time salon owner in Potsdam. Chapman worked in a well known salon on South Main Street Massena for almost 10 years.

Both “have a passion for hair and wanted to create a place for customers to come and feel warm and welcome!” they said in their announcement.

The old ice cream shop where the salon is now has been completely renovated. There are six stations downstairs, while massage, facials, waxing and spray tanning will be offered upstairs.

Among the staff are Amber Willard, Gabi White, Samantha Caron, Kimberly Sirles, and McKenna Daoust. Willard worked at a salon on South Main Street for almost 20 years and has been doing hair for a total of 27 years. White had been doing hair for more than two years at the same salon on South Main Street before making the move. Caron has been a hair professional for 11 years in a couple different locations in Massena and Potsdam before moving here. Sirles has been doing hair for seven years, starting at in the St. Lawrence Centre salon. Daoust gained her license this past August and plans to gain a lot of experience and knowledge while working at B Hair Studio.

Chapman has been a hair stylist for 13 years and a licensed massage therapist for 11 years. Wiley has been styling hair for 33 years. The combined experience and personalities will “make for an awesome environment.”

Services offered include hair cuts, color, perm, style, waxing, tape-in extensions, ear piercing, and beard trimming. Massage, manicures, pedicures, facials, and eyelash extensions will be offered soon. They welcome walk ins and appointments. Info, appointments: (315) 705-6009.
