Megan E. Hagget and Marshall C. Hughes were married August 11, 2012.
Megan is the daughter of Paul and Susan Haggett of Massena. She holds a bachelor's and masters degree in music education and a minor in music business at the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. She is currently employed as an instrumental music teacher at Brushton-Moira Central School.
Lindsey Haggett, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor, with friends Kate Noyes, Becca Preston, and Matt Hess serving as attendants.
Marshall is the son of Stephen and Karen Hughes of Hyde Park, NY. He holds a bachelor’s degree in music education and music business and a masters degree in educational technology at the Crane Schoool of Music at SUNY Potsdam. He is an independent educational and technology consultant for the non-profit organization, The National Education Foundation.
Doug Campbell, friend of groom, served as best man, with Gabe Hughes, brother of groom and Alex Butler and Shawon Roger, friends of groom serving as ushers.
The two were married at Gunnison Chapel, St. Lawrence University by Brian LoPiccolo, cousin of the bride.
The bride carried an ivory hydrangea bouquet adorned with rhinestone brooches.
Lectors/readers were Karen Hughes and Paul Haggett.
The couple held their reception at The Club in Canton. String quartet, Chris Hosmer, Krista Easton, Ellen Weil, and Mike Weil provided entertainment.
The couple plans a honeymoon this July to Spain, Italy, and France.
They will reside in Norfolk, NY.
