Kristin Shumway, formerly of Potsdam, and Patrick Gallagher were married October 11, 2014 in an outdoor ceremony on the shore of Echo Lake in Warrensburg.
Kristin is the daughter of Bill and Cheryl Shumway of Potsdam, and granddaughter of Carolyn Covell of Calcium. Pat is the son of Ken and Mary Ellen Gallagher of Warwick.The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. Officiant of the ceremony was Ed Litvaitis. Erin Gallagher, sister of the groom, read “On Marriage” by Ed O’Neill. Harpist was Leah Kidwell-Fernandes.
Maid of honor was Jessica Shumway, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jenny Nichols, Jordan Carroll, Brittany Frankel, Kim Scalise, Amy Williams, and Alice Buskus.
Best man was Dan Gallagher, twin brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Brian Gallagher, brother of the groom, Evan Rotar, Bill McCormick, and Kevin Long.
The reception was held at The Lodge at Echo Lake in Warrensburg.
The couple went to Costa Rica for their honeymoon.
Kristin is a 2006 graduate of Potsdam Central School and a 2010 graduate of SUNY Geneseo. She received a Masters in Information Technology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2012. She is employed at Travelers Insurance Company, Hartford, CT, as a software developer.
Pat is a 2006 graduate of Warwick Valley High School and a 2010 graduate of SUNY Geneseo. He received a Masters in Geography in 2012 from the University of Connecticut. He is employed as a planner at Milone and MacBroom in Cheshire, CT.
The couple resides in West Hartford, CT.
