GOUVERNEUR – Cortney Marie Charlton and Chad Michael Sharpe, both of Gouverneur, were married June 26, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the United Methodist Church of Gouverneur with the Rev. Will Baez officiating and Rev. Robert LaVack providing music.
Her father, Bradley Charlton, gave the bride in marriage.
The bride’s niece, Kayla Sawyer, was maid of honor. The groom's sister, Tracy Goodale, was matron of honor. The couples' friends Melissa Breckenridge, Jamie Tupper, and Bridget Davenport were bride’s maids.
The groom's niece, Jaelyn Goodale, and friend of the couple, Lia Kate Canell, were flower girls.
The groom's cousin, Gary McIntyre, was best man. The groom's brother-in-law, Cory Goodale, and cousin, James Hadfield, were groomsmen. The couples' friends Andrew Breckenridge, Justin Allen, and Chad Reynolds were also groomsmen.
The groom's nephew, Karsen Goodale, was ring bearer.
Parents of the bride are Brad and Karen Charlton, and the groom's parents are Brent and Greeta Sharpe, all of Gouverneur.
The reception was held at The Commons in Fort Drum.
The bride's father and her uncles, Edward Charlton of Ogdensburg and Wayne Charlton of Gouverneur, a.k.a., the Charlton Brothers, provided live musical entertainment followed by Michael Bartholomew as DJ.
Domenic's Limo Service of Gouverneur provided transportation to the wedding party.
Friend of the couple, Andrea Killam of Honesdale, Pa., photographed the event.
Emily's Flowers of Gouverneur provided the flowers.
The couple honeymooned in St. Thomas.
Cortney graduated from Gouverneur Central High School in 1999 and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Clarkson University in 2003. She is currently Treasurer at the Gouverneur Savings and Loan Association in Gouverneur.
Chad graduated from Gouverneur Central High School in 2000. He is currently a Supervisor at the Kinney Drugs Warehouse in Gouverneur.
