On Friday, July 28, a Staff Appreciation Beach Day was held to honor SRMT staff for their contributions and announce the 2023 Summer Enrichment Award Winners. A total of five awards were given and the spotlight this week goes to Albert Tenasco of the Security Department.

Albert is being recognized for enriching the workplace with his humor, dedication, and determination to keep a “never give up” attitude toward any situation that arises.

Albert is a long-time employee of the SRMT and has proven to be a valuable asset to the Security team. He performs his job duties to a high standard with professionalism, a focus on teamwork, good energy, and thoughtfulness. His commitment to succeeding in any circumstance has brought the spotlight onto him.

He played an instrumental role in the development of the Security Department in the early days of the program. At a time where little direction or operational goals were set out by the program, he managed to exceed expectations. He is no stranger to stepping up to the plate, for eight months he took on great responsibility for the department when they were experiencing a staffing shortage.

Albert was assigned to Health Services and during the drive-through pharmacy window project, he worked with other security staff and SRMT departments to create a safe and manageable traffic pattern for the public. He answered all questions from community members and stayed updated with Health Services’ staff to keep everything working correctly. Albert's initiation, drive and willingness to listen to and work with others made this project a success from the viewpoint of Security. We are pleased to recognize Albert's daily contributions to the SRMT and let him know how glad we are that he is in our department.
