Shirley M. McGregor, 84, Raymondville

RAYMONDVILLE – A Mass of Christian Burial for Shirley M. McGregor, 84, a resident of 8620 St. Highway 56, Raymondville, will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024, at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Church in Norwood with Rev. Raymond Moreau presiding.

Burial will be held in the Visitation Cemetery in the spring. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Thursday from 4-7 p.m.

Shirley passed away late Friday evening, January 26, 2024, at her home with family at her side.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 66 years, Paul; her three sons, Randy McGregor, Norfolk; Kevin McGregor, Norfolk and Scott and Kimberly McGregor, Massena; her daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” and Richard Welsh, Massena; her beloved nine grandchildren, Coleen, Justin, Brandon, Paula, Terri, Brittany, Paige, Kaitlin and Reese; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold Villnave Jr., Raymondville and a sister, Betty Parmeter, Waddington as well as several nieces and nephews.

Shirley was pre-deceased by her parents, two brothers, Francis and Gary Villnave and two sisters, Theresa Ryan and Eileen Murray.

Born in Waddington, NY October 11, 1939, to the late Harold and Rose Mossow Villnave, Shirley attended Norwood-Norfolk Central School and married her high school sweetheart, Paul T. McGregor on October 26, 1958.

Shirley worked for over 31 years as a Direct Care Aide for NYSARC as well as providing homecare for several individuals with disabilities for 20 years. She was a compassionate person and always wanted to help others, especially individuals with needs.

Shirley loved being around her family, especially the grandchildren and watching all the sporting events and enjoyed playing bingo.
