In a heartwarming display of community support, the local Potsdam mosque has generously contributed $1000 to the student-founded non-profit organization, Second Chance Scholars. Founded by Brandon Rodriguez, Second Chance Scholars is a non-profit organization dedicated to aiding individuals transitioning from incarceration into society. The organization focuses on facilitating successful reintegration through educational opportunities upon release.
This significant donation, in partnership with Potsdam@RCF, is making a tangible impact by assisting a deserving student in securing housing upon release, allowing them to continue their education in HVAC at SUNY Canton. The Potsdam mosque, known for its commitment to community welfare, has demonstrated its dedication by donating $1000 to Second Chance Scholars. This gesture underscores the mosque's ethos of supporting local initiatives that aim to empower individuals through education.
“There are so many people who struggle with dignity in life and who are wronged and judged, maybe even heartbroken. They don’t find anyone to give them a hand or ask how they are doing, to help alleviate their sorrow or to protect them.
