Potsdam Figure Skating Club holding annual ice show March 23

POTSDAM — The Potsdam Figure Skating Club will present their annual ice show "Game On" on Saturday, March 23, at 3 p.m. at Cheel Arena. 

120 skaters out of a membership of 135 will show off their skills, along with 3 local synchronized skating teams. 

In addition to graduating seniors, Raegan Barrett, Teagan Saiff, and Jazmyn Villnave,  soloists will include Saadhika Dhaniyala, Dillynn Grant, and Autumn Masuk.  Duets this year will be presented by Abby Smith & Kamryn Palmer, and Kate Ewy & Charlie Teich. 

Tickets can be purchased in advance, as well as at the door. Cost of admission is $6 adults and  $3 children ages 6-12 and seniors age 65 and older. Children 5 and under are free.

The club will feature three graduating seniors, long time members of Potsdam Figure Skating Club and synchronized skating teams.

Raegan Barrett, daughter of William and Susan Barrett, has recently achieved a Gold Medal jacket for Gold Dance. Over the past nine years, she has competed and medaled in several competitions, including Empire State Winter Games, State Games of America, Excel National Festival and Showcase Nationals. Raegan is currently attending SUNY Potsdam and intends to pursue Business Administration there this fall.

Teagan Saiff, daughter of Darin and Carrie Saiff, has been a member of the Potsdam Figure Skating Club for the past fifteen years. Two years ago, she completed her silver dances, and she has medaled in many competitions, including Empire State Winter Games. Teagan will be attending SUNY Plattsburgh in the fall, where she will major in psychology with future plans to pursue a graduate degree in school psychology.

Jazmyn Villnave, daughter of Christy Scheening (Andy Deon) and Jason Villnave (Tanya Green), has highlighted her skills this year in both Moves In the Field and Freeskate. Her particular passion has been in Ice Dance, triumphing in Preliminary, Pre-Bronze, Bronze, Pre-Silver, and Silver Dances. After graduation, she intends to embark on a journey with the US Army, where she enlisted last week, and thereafter following a career in dental hygiene.
