PCS Music Friends thanks the Dr. D. Susan Badenhausen Legacy Fund of the Northern NY Community Foundation for supplementing the PCS School District's financial support of the new Modern Band Class to be taught at the Potsdam High School by Mrs. Jill Rubio.
The $2,000 grant, along with the District's support, will allow for the purchase of electric guitars, electric basses, electronic drum kits, microphones and amplifiers needed for this innovative class. Modern band features popular music such as rock, hip-hop, pop and other styles, and this class should attract more students in the Potsdam School District to music as well as supplement the education of current music students.
