OGDENSBURG -- Two Ogdensburg homes were shot with a shotgun this weekend and city police say they have possible suspects.
Lt. Jarret LeClair said that early Saturday morning, around 3:47 a.m. police received reports of doors being shot with bird-shot at 719 and 721 Knox Street.
People were reportedly inside both homes at the time of the shooting, but no injuries were reported.
Police have been investigating the incident since the weekend and have been reviewing video footage taken from the area.
Police are asking anyone who may have additional video from their home security cameras to share it with police. Arrangements to do so can be made by calling 315-393-1555.
The incident comes on the heels of a public safety meeting that drew more than 100 Ogdensburg residents to City Hall last week.
In August a 19-year-old teen was murdered in the city and more recently a woman shot another city resident with a shotgun and while the man did not receive serious injuries, police say tension in the city is running high with rampant small thefts.
City police are asking residents to take extra precautions and ensure they are locking their vehicles and sheds to reduce potential for thefts.
