To the Editor:

Congratulations to the Ogdensburg Figure Skating Club skaters who participated in our annual exhibition of competitors and test skaters Sunday, January 28.

The following Junior and Senior level skaters performed their solo programs for a wonderful audience full of family and friends: Averie Farrand, Emma Barr, Isabella McCarthy, Ella Ramsdell, Marina Perry, Raegan Hunter Jordana Cook, Abby Smith, Sophie Nugent, Brynn Morley, Kyra McCarthy, Madison Miller, Maci Dishaw, Danica Cook, Madison Hunter, Mia Downie, Tinley Charlton, Khloee Fraser and Hannah Costello.

We were excited to welcome our local synchronized skating teams; St. Lawrence Figure Skating Club sponsored, Ice Angels and Potsdam Figure Skating Club sponsored Rainbow Connection. Both teams are coached by Lisa Cardinal and made up of skaters from around the North Country.

The teams are excited to get back to competing after three years away due to Covid. Their first competition will be the Empire State Games this coming weekend in Lake Placid. Skating on the Ice Angels Synchronized Skating Team from the OFSC are Lauren Beldock and Sophie Nugent; skating on the Rainbow Connection Synchronized Skating Team from the OFSC are Emma Barr, Madalynn Costello, Averie Farrand, Ann Sovie, Ella Ramsdell, Brynn Morley, Marina Perry and Madison Miller.

The exhibition also provided a wonderful opportunity to honor our graduating seniors and their families: Hannah Costello, daughter of Kelly and Al Costello; Mia Downie, daughter of Danielle Armstrong and Ryan Downie; Madison Miller, daughter of Melinda and Eric Miller; Marina Perry, daughter of Denise and Erik Perry. These young ladies have enjoyed wonderful figure skating careers, accomplishing some of our club's highest tests passed and most successful competitive accolades. It is impressive to reflect on everything these four ladies have done in their time on the ice.

Hillary Skelly, Danielle Armstrong, Lisa Cardinal and Lauren Morley are the coaches for the Ogdensburg Figure Skating Club.

Thank you to all who came out to support our skaters and coaches. Congratulations to all of our skaters on a terrific season thus far. Best wishes as you prepare for Empire State Games, the Malone, Snowtown USA and Port City Competitions as well as remaining test sessions.

We look forward to seeing you at our annual ice show: A Night at Times Square; Saturday, March 16, at 6:30 pm.
