North Country students receive Key Awards at Elmira College

A host of North Country students attending Elmira College are recipients of Key Awards. A tradition that goes back to 1935, the Key Award is presented to outstanding students in their junior year of high school or preparatory school.

This year's local recipients included:

Brasher Falls: Alison Jarvis.

Brier Hill: Ava Johnson.

Canton: Erica Bates.

DeKalb Junction: Saharrah Flanagan.

Gouverneur: Madelynne Hay-Spano and Courtney Forsythe

Hammond: Hannah Belknap.

Harrisville: Nolan Sullivan and Tanner Sullivan.

Hermon: Payton White, Helen Stay and Jacob Morrill.

Heuvelton: Dylan Demers, Rylin McAllister, Bella Whalen, and Alexys Denesha.

Hogansburg: Gianna Thompson.

Lisbon: Lucas Gravlin and Coby Mills.

Madrid: Lillan Todd.

Norfolk: Margaret Wagstaff.

Norwood: Matthew Richards.
