NORWOOD – Justice Brown, a student at Massena Central School is the recipient of the Seaway Career & Technical Education Center Potsdam Rotary Club Student of the Month for December .
Justice is in the Criminal Justice Program and the child of Frank and Lauren Brown.
The Criminal Justice program focuses on the criminal justice system including instruction in criminal law and policy, police and correctional systems organization, the administration of justice and the judiciary and the public attitudes regarding criminal justice. Students are introduced to forensic science including crime scene investigation, anthropology, hair and fiber analysis, soil analysis, blood spatter analysis and practical hands-on activities.
This course of study gives the student a strong foundation which they can build on when they continue their education and pursue a career in the field of Criminal Justice.
Joe Colon, instructor, said “Justice is astonishing when it comes to initiative and integrity. She will always be the first one to volunteer whether for an extra curriculum activity or a class project involving investigations techniques. I am very confident Justice can be left unsupervised and will accomplish any task while knowing she will do the right thing when no one is around.”
