NIAGARA FALLS — A U.S. citizen who had an active bench warrant in St. Lawrence County was arrested after U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers ran his information through the National Crime information Center (NCIC).
CBP officers said a 44-year-old Pennsylvania man was arrested attempting to travel back to his residence in Pennsylvania.
Upon arriving at the primary inspection area, the driver presented identification which was processed through the NCIC, officers say.
The man was found to have an active warrant for his arrest, a felony arrest warrant for fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.
Officers say he was processed and after confirming the warrant was valid, he was turned over to St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies.
