Jamie L. Sullivan-Demers, 48, Waddington

WADDINGTON -- Calling hours for Jamie L. Sullivan-Demers, 48, a resident of 77 Lincoln Ave, Waddington, will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Rev. Paul Dettmer will offer a prayer at the conclusion of calling hours.

Jamie passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 3, 2024, at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse with family at her side after suffering a stroke after a year’s fight with cancer and beating it.

Jamie is survived by her husband of 17 years, Wayne, Waddington; her son, Aidan, also of Waddington; her mother, Sheila Sullivan, Norwood; two brothers, Shawn and Kelly Sullivan, Abington, PA and Joseph and Mimi Sullivan, Virginia; her sister, Heidi and Andrew “Drew” Liscomb, Albany as well as her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many friends.

Jamie was pre-deceased by her father, Carl Sullivan; and her sister, Stacey Lynn.

Born in Potsdam, NY on June 10, 1975, to Carl and Sheila Felt Sullivan, Jamie, or “Sweet Pea” as was her childhood nickname, graduated from Norwood-Norfolk Central School, Class of 1993, and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Science of Social Work from SUNY Plattsburgh in 1998.

Jamie worked as an MHTA at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center in Ogdensburg for over ten years and then SUNMOUNT before accepting a position with the NYS Department of Labor as a Labor Services Representative Supervisor, where she worked for the last ten years.

In her free time, Jamie enjoyed listening to music, walking, watching her T.V. programs, and her animals.

Most recently, she loved watching birds, especially a family of cardinals from the comfort of her house.

She was passionate about the Boston Red Sox and enjoyed her time spent on the water, whether it be on Biddeford Pool Beach in Maine, or at Smith Point on the St. Lawrence River.
