Jacqueline Ann "Jackie" Bartholomew, 85, Gouverneur

GOUVERNEUR --  Jacqueline Ann “Jackie” Bartholomew, 85, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024, at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown.

A celebration of life will be scheduled and announced later in the year and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Gouverneur.

Arrangements are with Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur.

Jacqueline was born in Gouverneur on May 13, 1938, the daughter of George and Dorothy (Lashbrooks) Young.

She graduated from Gouverneur High School and married Charles Robert Bartholomew on December 31, 1955, in Gouverneur.

Jackie had worked at E.J. Noble Hospital and Kinney Nursing Home in Gouverneur as a nurses aide. She was also a waitress at Palms Restaurant, Jumbo’s Diner, and Log Cabin Diner.

She loved her many dogs, enjoyed flowers, visiting casinos, playing bingo, bowling, and visiting with friends and family.

Jackie is survived by her sons, Michael of Gouverneur, Donald and Deborah of Titusville, FL, Jason and Olga of Massena; her grandchildren, Matthew of Jasper, GA, Brittany and her companion, Mark Ferguson of Adams Center, and 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Darcy Love of Gouverneur, Doreen Love of Gouverneur, Helen Thornton of Edwards, Dennis Love of Binghamton, Jeff Love of Gouverneur, several nieces and nephews.

Jackie is predeceased by her husband, Charlie, her parents, George Young, Dorothy and Lewis Love, her siblings, Glenn Young, Arlene Parks, and Geraldine Young.
