Arrested at 3:50 pm for Menacing, Criminal Mischief 3rd – Intent To Damage Property, Criminal Mischief 3rd – Prevent Request For Emergency Assistance, and Assault 3rd – Intent To Cause Physical Injury. On 10/22/2023 at approximately 6:00 pm located at 63 Rock Island Street Gouverneur the defendant was involved in a physical domestic. The defendant was yelling and screaming at the victim causing the victim to state that she was going to call the police. The defendant then approached the victim and took the victim’s phone away from her to prevent her from contacting the police. The defendant then picked up a black yard rake from the ground and struck the victim multiple times with said rake causing injury to the victim’s left hand making her fearful for her safety. The defendant was arraigned at the Gouverneur Town Court where he was released with a no contact order of protection.

Arrested at 2:00 pm for Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd, Criminal Obstruction Of Breathing, Resisting Arrest, And Harassment 2nd – Physical Contact. Defendant was involved in a physical domestic with the victim on 10/17/2023 at 102 prospect street Gouverneur. The defendant is alleged to have forced the victim to stay at 102 prospect street against her will. During the domestic the defendant is alleged to have thrown the victim onto the ground twice, the second time he is alleged to have covered both the victim's mouth and nose when she tried calling for help. Defendant then resisted arrested against a Gouverneur Police Officer and New York State Troopers that were assisting. Defendant was arraigned at the Gouverneur Town Court and was released under supervision of probation.

Arrested at 2:23 pm for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th. Defendant was driving a 2020 dodge pickup truck on Grove Street. While investigating a suspicious person complaint the defendant was found to be in possession of 5 stamped wax paper bags found in the driver's side door of the truck. The substance inside the wax paper bags field tested positive for fentanyl. Defendant was issued an appearance ticket for the Gouverneur Town Court.

Rodney C. Tracey, 54, Gouverneur, NY

Arrested at 2:23 pm for 4 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th, 1 count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th (C Felony), and 3 counts of Possession of Controlled Substances not in Original Container. Defendant was found in possession of 30 stamped wax paper bags of a substance that field tested positive for fentanyl, 6 oxycodone pills and approximately 6 grams of a crystal like substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine. Defendant also placed three controlled substance in the unoriginal prescription containers. This all stemmed from a suspicious person complaint. The defendant was arraigned at the Gouverneur Town Court before Judge Young and released on his own recognizance with a return Gouverneur Town Court date.
