Freda Pellegrino Basso, 89, Massena

MASSENA -- Freda Pellegrino Basso, age 89, formerly of Massena, NY passed away peacefully at Iroquois Skilled Nursing Community in Jamesville, NY.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Phillips Memorial Home, Massena, NY.

There will be no calling hours.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at St. Mary’s Church at 105 Cornell Ave, in Massena, NY, from 10:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am.

Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family in the spring.

Freda was born to the late Giovanni “Juan” and Clara (DeRushia) Pellegrino in Massena, NY on October 24, 1934.

Freda attended schools in Massena and graduated from Massena High School in 1952.

Freda is survived by her brother Eric and wife Susie” Pelligrino of Canton, NY, Priscilla LaBrake of Massena, NY, and Karen Pelligrino of Lancaster, PA, along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Freda is predeceased by her husband Robert H. Basso in 2008.
