Franklin A. "Al" Clark Jr., 76, Brasher

BRASHER – Surrounded by the love of his family, Franklin A. “Al” Clark, Jr., 76, of West Cotter Road, Brasher Falls, passed away Saturday morning February 17, 2024, at Upstate University Hospital after a courageous battle with multiple illnesses.

Al was born on January 5, 1948 in Massena, the son of the late Franklin Sr. and Rose Anna (Golda) Clark.

He attended Massena schools, graduating in 1966. On July 15, 1967, he married Elizabeth J. Cogdill (Betty) at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Massena.

After his high school graduation, Al started his employment at Alcoa as a mason, carpenter, and painter, retiring in 2002. After his retirement, Al did construction work with his son.

He had great love for flying and proudly piloted his homemade airplane. Al enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, took great pride in maintaining his lawn and property, hunting with his son, and proudly supported and followed both his children and grandchildren sporting events.

Al is survived by his loving and dedicated wife, Elizabeth “Betty”; his children and their spouses, Tracy and Mark Pichette and Jeffrey and Amber Clark, all of Massena; his grandchildren, Ian McDonald and Corey, Shawn, and Ayden Clark; his brothers, John and Kitty Clark of Massena, Charles and Kim Krywanczyk and Alex “Mike” and Julie Krywanczyk, all of Brasher; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a granddaughter, Kylie McDonald; his brother, Phillip Clark; and his sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Dale Caza.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, where friends may call on Monday 2-5:00 PM with a prayer service being offered at 5:00 PM.
