Charles A. Larrabee, 65, Massena

MASSENA - Charles A. Larrabee, age 65, passed away unexpectedly in the comfort of his own home on April 16, 2024.

As per his wishes there will be no funeral services.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Frary Funeral Home, 60 Maple Street, Massena.

Charles was born on June 13, 1958, the son of George and Barbara Zelius.

He graduated from Massena High School in 1976. Charles also attended Canton ATC, majoring in computer science.

He later moved to Texas for a short time in the 1980’s and worked a railroad yard sandblasting train cars. He also farmed Hereford cattle with his brother-in-law in Louisville for many years.

He is survived by his four siblings, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a great niece and great nephew, also his many friends throughout the years.

Charles was a lover of nature and he was often seen at Barnhart taking pictures.

He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and hunting throughout his life.

Charles also had an interest in crystals and learned wrapping them into beautiful pieces of jewelry and art.

His photography was well recognized throughout the county and at times was used in the newspaper and online publications.

He will be missed, he was loved.

Memorial donations in Charles' memory may be made to the Nicandri Nature Center, 23 Robinson Bay Road, Massena, NY 13662.
