The Adult Literacy program in the Potsdam Public Library is able to offer free tutoring for adults in St. Lawrence County who need to improve their basic reading, writing and math skills, or English speaking skills for individuals whose first language isn’t English.
Trained tutors meet with adults at a convenient time and place. Instruction is not in classes; tutors provide help designed to improve specific skills that are needed by each learner. There is no cost to receive these services. Adult learners at all skill levels are welcome.
For more information, contact the program coordinator, Bobby Gordon, at bgordon@potsdamlibrary.org. If you would rather speak on the phone, leave a message at the literacy office’s phone number - 315-210-4059, and include your phone number. You will receive a return call with more information about how to get started with a tutor.
