Adirondack Fragrance Farm is hosting a three-day “Eclipse Fragrance Festival” in Potsdam and hikes and candle-making classes in Parishville this weekend.
The event is supported by “I Love New York” funding.
The Eclipse Fragrance Festival Craft, Food & Wine Vendor Fair will take place Saturday through Monday, April 6-8, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Pine Street Arena, 43 Pine St., Potsdam.
Over 50 vendors are expected.
A a pair of limited edition Solar Eclipse viewing glasses and a free raffle ticket for a bundle of Limited Edition ADK Eclipse Fragrance Festival products is included with the $5 entry fee.
Free face painting by Prism Face Painting will be offered 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 6 and those attending on Monday can view the 100% solar eclipse totality at 3:24 p.m.
The partial eclipse begins at 2:11 p.m., totality begins at 3:24 p.m., totality ends at 3:27 p.m. and the partial eclipse ends at 4:37 p.m. Exact eclipse times may vary slightly based on your location within St. Lawrence County.
The Adirondack Fragrance Farm is a farm-to-home company at 1551 NYS Hwy. 72, Parishville. Fragrance experts,Yen Maine and Sandy Maine, founder of Sunfeather Natural Soap Company), have planted, watered, weeded, grown, harvested, and crafted quality natural products for over 40 years.
They will be offering two-hour guided hikes April 5-8 at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Enjoy a 1.5 – 2 mile leisurely immersive hike exploring the flora and fauna on the grounds of the 160 Adirondack Fragrance Farm, curated by Sandy Maine. Handmade refreshments will be provided. Cost is $59.
Candle-making classes will be held April 5-8 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Fragrance Farm. Join the Adirondack Fragrance Artisans to make unique eclipse-inspired 4.5-ounce scented ADK Fragrance Farm candles. Explore the art of fragrance mixing and master the hand-pouring technique. Participants will also be entitled to a 20% discount on any purchases at the ADK Outlet Gift Shop. Price is $40.
