You know, women? We exist too. And we would like to see women’s sports highlighted on the front page of the papers and NCNow. Because we matter. I pay the bills in this house. I make purchases in this town. Who cares if the CU Men’s team lost on the road? That’s been the story for the last 5 years! Maybe more fans would come to the women’s games if the press supported them! We have more fans every year, but no thanks to you. I am so angry right now. I’ve had enough. Last night was senior night for the Clarkson Women’s Hockey Team, and they obliterated Yale 7-0! No headline. Last weekend they beat Cornell - the #2 team in the country. No headline. Don’t listen to me...listen to the fact that 50% of your reader base is women. Listen to the other 50% who are married to women, or have sisters, or moms or daughters. Or just the folks who would rather hear the good news that a local team won, rather than the lousy news that a local team lost.
