Many beneficiaries of food stamps are children. I urge everyone to call on elected officials to stop cuts to food stamps. According to Mahatma Gandhi, a nation’s greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members, and Dietrich Bonhoeffer said the test of the morality of a society is what it does for its children. Let’s do the great thing, the moral thing, and stop politicians from taking food from hungry children. Oh, and there was that one teacher from long ago who said “I was hungry and you gave me to eat...whatsoever you do to the least one, that you do unto me.” Please urge your Congressional representatives to support food stamps.
