In Response “Agree with Assessment of Wind Power Farm Issue” which ran in the Oct. 17-24 issue of North Country This Week: “I do keep track of wind power and all the misinformation that people keep spreading about it.” Dang, the problem with due diligence is it always reveals the truth…just a few examples right in our own backyard: Altona, news report Feb. 2009 two turbines spin faster than designed to sustain, one collapses. Again Altona, Aug. 2014 explosion followed by wind turbine fire and collapse. Drive east of Malone on Rt. 11 and see the current turbine blade fails in Churubusco and Ellenburg (what is that dark substance leaking down one of the turbine hubs?). Bellmont, news report Feb. 2017, Jericho Rise Wind Farm receive noise complaints from local residents. Do your research before buying industrial wind and then reflect on who’s spreading misinformation.
