In response to “Bring Wind Farms” which appeared in the July 12-18 issue of North Country This Week: Yeah, they're so much uglier than many acres of blue reflective sun-catchers, so very visible from anyplace that's higher in altitude than the solar farms! I was surprised one day about sunset, to find the reflections from them almost blinding as I drove past them. Plus they ruin the land for any other use where a wind farm still allows for using the property they sit on. Personally I find the sound of wind farms like the lapping of waves on the shoreline and very sleep-inducing. People insist there is only one solution and then take sides and start calling each other names and offering misinformation.
