Today, as I drove to work, I realized that I had forgotten my sunglasses. Not a problem for most people, but I could already feel the migraine starting. After thoroughly searching the car for one of my many “spares,” and finding nothing, I took a chance and stopped at Chip’s store in Hannawa Falls. I asked if they had any and so they went to the storeroom, searching for sunglasses that were left over from the summer. I kept saying, it’s OK, it’s my own fault, and told them why I was looking. Right away the meat counter worker said, “I know I have some in my car,” and put on her coat, and out she went! She came back with the one pair she found and told me to take them...she gave me her only pair. I promised I would return them the next morning, because she insisted that I needed them more than she did. As, I was driving away, thinking “Wow, where else could you find people who would do that?” I realized that in my haste to get to work, I didn’t tell her my name, and she never asked.
