Why do we not hear or read what happens to the people accused of welfare fraud. Headlines appear each week about people caught stealing funds from our welfare system. These people are criminals and need to be charged, tried and convicted. I’m a Republican and I support people who need honest social assistance. I do not support third and fourth generation families that make a living from this present system. I could name several families doing this in the Norwood area each day. Other people like me in surrounding area neighborhoods can do the same. I’ve worked hard my entire life. I’ve paid my way and have contributed to society. I plan on taking care of my immediate family members with “gifts” of money when they need it. I do not support my tax dollars supporting thieves who feel that they are owed something for nothing. Start printing the results of judgment after these people have been charged. As a taxpayer I am certainly owed at least this much respect from our county government.
