I am getting so sick of reading the argument about teachers’ salaries week after week. Obviously we are never going to get a consensus about this topic, so let’s just lay it to rest already. The same goes for all the hoopla about making dads pay child support, loud snowmobiles, dissolving villages, etc, etc. I am so tired of people telling others to “get out of Oz” and “take off the rose-colored glasses” and realize how bad things really are. You think things are bad here? Go move to Japan! We are so lucky to have the life we do here, despite all the little annoyances and disagreements that come with everyday living. There are major problems going on in the world, and not one person commented on any of those. Heck, not one person even commented on what’s been going on with our own government lately; it’s just typical North Country drama. 200,000 bodies and counting are washing up dead in Japan, and we’re complaining about snowmobile rights? Be grateful for what you have!
