Wasted plowing money

Do not get me wrong. I appreciate all that the county plow drivers do for us when we need them. I’m just wondering how their schedule works. I live in the Village of Norwood and a county plow has passed through our village to plow the roads in the Knapps Station area. Today, this plow has made its way through our village five times (from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.). It has not snowed all day but there has been a change in temperature. The roads are clear and have been sanded. How much diesel fuel and pay for driver with benefits has been wasted having this plow truck on the road all day with its plow up? I’m sure that the night shift is also scheduled for this run. This is not the driver’s fault. I ask the Superintendent of Highways and Legislator Sally Brothers for an explanation.
