As I drive into Potsdam on Elm Street every morning I observe a gentleman crossing from Lawrence Ave across Elm. Each morning he presses the crosswalk button and then proceeds across the intersection, never waiting for the crossing sign. He is almost to Main Street by the time the walk sign comes up. It is not only annoying but dangerous. I also walk in Potsdam but I am always respectful of the thru traffic when I use the crosswalks. Just a friendly reminder to all pedestrians, the crosswalk signs are there for a reason. Please be safe and use them correctly.
