I don’t have a problem with the new construction at Crane. It will be a wonderful addition to a very prestigious school. What I have a huge issue with is the tractor trailer traffic that has increased on Outer Main Street. Main Street is just what it infers--a main street. If the construction is being done on the state college campus, why isn’t the truck traffic directed to the state road, aka Pierrepont Avenue? The state does not plow Outer Main Street. The village plows it. The state does not repair Outer Main Street, a village street that is being overtaxed by all the truck traffic. The village pays for the repairs on Outer Main Street. My village taxes pay for the repairs. The wear & tear to my car, well that again is my wallet. A closer look to this matter should be taken by village officials.
