Turbines described as beautiful and prettier than what we have now. Wow. The North Country with its open farmland and rural vistas that with each season bring fresh landscapes for all to enjoy. North Country residents get it. Unobstructed sunrises and sunsets are part of the reason that many travel from other states to enjoy what we have. If there are those that would prefer to have 300-foot tall windmill sitting with a hundred yards of their homes they might want to consider relocating to Chateaugay or Lowville. Idle turbines due to a full grid, individuals developing sickness due to the constant low hum produced, abandonment once tax credits expire, wards of the counties once the units cease to operate or fall into receivership. Those standing to benefit now will be creating hardships for future near term generations. We get it, property taxes are high and relief is appealing. From all accounts the township elders are doing an excellent job of researching in order to make informed decisions. Thank you to them!
