If people are going to ask the village to change certain laws to remove Hank Robar’s art, keep in mind that this new law will affect the entire community including the colleges. Remember the Clarkson fraternity ice statues? Remember the modern art of iron and mirrors which SUNY Potsdam presented on outer Pierpont Avenue for many years in recognition of an art graduate? How can you write a law to condemn one form of art and not all art? I like Mr. Robar’s displays. I hope that he takes it one step further and has a toilet for a headstone at his final resting spot filled with flowers.
