In response to the Sound Off entry “More Traffic, More Problems” which ran in the Sept. 2-8 issue of North Country This Week, respectfully, the writer has it completely wrong and would like to add to the problem. The village is choked off with too many traffic lights that are ridiculously too long, and too many ugly crosswalks. The speed limit should be 45 on Maple Street, and the reduced speed limits coming into town on Routes 56 and 11 should be restored to 55. People are working and don’t want to spend 15 minutes getting through the village. This is Northern New York and it is rural. Student or not, you’re here because you don’t want city congestion and foolishness.
