In response to “State Tax Cap Tough on St. Lawrence County School Districts” which appeared in the Sept. 16-22 issue of North Country This Week: It’s just as tough on us, the taxpayers, who haven’t seen our income increase; just our taxes and bills every month. We want our children to have a good education but we also want to keep a roof over our heads, which is becoming harder and harder these days, especially for those who have worked here for all their lives and now are having trouble paying to keep their homes and food on the table.
