I see that since Osama bin Laden was killed by Special Ops in the Navy Seals, the question as to how intelligence was obtained that led to his discovery (under the noses of the Pakistani government) is being raised. Did tortured prisoners provide the needed information that led to bin Laden’s location? That remains to be seen, but in the meantime, we, as the only Western, industrialized country that still has capital punishment, and allows torture of rendered prisoners on foreign soil, are outraged when an American is tortured. It is a great crime when it is done to one of our own. The ultimate double standard. Torture is wrong, plain and simple. Nothing will change that simple fact.
