I received a ticket for a minor traffic violation. I went to court as stated on the ticket and after waiting for some time I was told the ticket was not in the system and to call back in a week. I called back in a week and was told it was still not in the system. I waited two more weeks and it is still not in the system and so I told the county clerk that this should be dismissed since I am trying to take care of it and clearly there is some incompetence going on somewhere here. She told me "nice try" and to call back in a month. Why in such a small area can a simple traffic ticket not be entered in the system in a timely manner? But, everyone knows if I do not keep on following up on it I will be the one that has to face the consequences for incompetence.
