Recently comments were made by a person concerning the standardized tests that the state gives to students. The author of the comments stated that teachers are not being given enough time to prepare students for these tests. I thought that teachers were supposed to teach children to learn and not teach just to pass state tests. Students are not graded by these tests but the results show how teachers and schools are doing in regards to educating the students. Maybe we need random tests for school districts instead of scheduled tests to really see how our education system is doing.
