Why is it that anyone who is 18 years of age can vote at a school budget vote? Why is this vote not open to taxpayers only? What right does someone who does not pay taxes have in a say that something that will not affect their checkbook at all but does mine. Everyone who is not a taxpayer who does vote for the budget eliminates a vote from us, the taxpayers, who know the value of our money and once again get to watch as others spend it frivolously then pat themselves on the back for only increasing the tax levy by 4.5%. Look at the past ten years. I believe that would add up to a 50% increase in taxes. Stop the madness and let only the taxpayers vote on budget issues.
