As I read about taxes in general, organizations or personnel, that can effect our taxes never look at the whole pie, just their slice! Overall wages are stagnant, inflation was 1.7 percent. Yet we need to choke down a 4.9 percent school tax increase? You know it is not that bad with the Star Exemption, the state will make up the rest! Gee, where do they get the money from? Was there not a huge fight to increase funding from the state this year? What if the state cuts funding in the future? I remember a number of years back we receive a school rebate from the state; that stopped! I also hope the state would investigate how properties are selected for reassessment!
