St. Lawrence County inmates can now use tablets to communicate with family. Well isn't that nice. What's next? Self-checkout weekends. This is absolutely stupid. I can already see inmates committing new crimes on these tablets such as credit card fraud and other cyber crimes. The prisons already get cable TV, internet and now tablets. Will we read taxpayers will be paying for the installations of hot tubs and steam rooms for therapeutic purposes because it’s about prisoners well-being and making their time go by as easy as possible. I think we should model our prisons like those in Arizona. No cable or internet. No beds. They sleep on cots. Every day you’re out picking trash up on roadsides. Prison is no picnic. Prison is prison. I am pretty sure it not a holiday.
