In response to the Sound Off “Life Jackets At Beaches,” which ran in the July 22 issue of North Country This Week: when my kids were little, I felt the same as you. Then I was told by a lifeguard when some parents put life jackets on their kids, it gives them the green light to not watch them and to walk away. I understand that. Talk to one, you just may understand.
