In February, the SLC legislature voted to use all 20 thousand dollars of the left over Indian Gaming Compact money for hiring a public relations firm to publish brochures promoting the “Roof Top Highway”. At the time, a man stood up in public session and suggested that some of the compact money be used to help the rural bus service. I guess building empires is more important than helping poor and elderly residents in St. Lawrence County. Most forms of public transit require public support in order to run!
