Between the after-school programs and summer school costs, we spend a fortune right there. Beyond the normal education expenses...what if when a student failed, instead of summer school, they repeated the course or courses the following year. The savings would be gigantic in paying for busing, teachers, electricity and the after school programs. I was told by a reliable source that they reap in fortunes in aid re: tax money paid by you and me.
