The writer of the Sound Off “Happy Travels” (Aug. 10-16) says that they like things just as they are and I should leave. She missed my point. I'm tired of reading about how the area of Potsdam in general is lacking in industrial development. It can't and won't without proper roads. The ones we have are a joke. They are crumbling. No industry will come up here without proper roads. This area will remain in the stone ages forever and the tree lovers can celebrate while the North Country continues to die around you. I am, like many others, moving away. Having to drive 90 minutes to shop, eat, and do fun stuff is ridiculous.
