Whatever happened to simple respect of other people's homes and property? Someone stole the resin jeweled frog and top hat wearing crocodile statues off the front steps of our Ogdensburg home recently. We don't live in a crime-ridden neighborhood. My husband and I, like our neighbors, are just working class people trying to add a little cheer and color to our home. The resin or plastic like figures are sun bleached and weathered but they both smile and that's a small bit of joy to anyone's day. Sadly, they came from my childhood home and are so old they are not replaceable. I'm sure its just an adolescent prank, but regardless, it pains and angers both my husband and I to know that people are so lacking consideration that they would steal something that has no meaning to them. It’s a sad comment on our society.
