To the person that doesn’t feel that the call to 911 was not an emergency (“Not a 911 Emergency,” Sound Off, Dec. 21-27): you should understand the fact that as a disabled person I did not feel safe leaving my home. Secondly anyone with any common sense would not approach an unfamiliar animal alone. As for the 911 call, it took less than 1 minute for the 911 operator to transfer the call to the state troopers. My apologizes to 911 for wasting your time, and I do thank you for sending the call to the local troopers. The only other thing I have to say is that I still have not heard from the local dog warden. Guess he or she must still be busy.
